Bioinformatics and Data Mining
Using omics, data mining, and multimodal integration to connect autoimmune disease, TCM patterning, and objective measurement.
My perspective
My interest in bioinformatics goes beyond using it as a tool. I see it as a bridge: one side faces complex clinical phenomena, and the other faces molecular signals and computational models. In heterogeneous conditions such as Sjögren’s syndrome, dry eye, and TCM patterning, progress is difficult without data mining and multi-omics thinking.
What I care about most in this area
Heterogeneity is central
Autoimmune disease and TCM patterning are both highly heterogeneous.
Multimodal integration matters
I care about how HRV, tongue diagnosis, symptom scales, proteomics, transcriptomics, and exosomes can be studied together.
From correlation to explanation
Data mining should help generate testable mechanistic hypotheses.
Building the future AIDDES platform
This is foundational for AI and smart medicine extensions of my work.

I list each directly relevant project separately here, including both NSTC and hospital-based projects. If this website does not currently contain a standalone project for this theme, I leave it blank rather than forcing a match.
