Research on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Studying integrative care in SLE with a focus on lupus nephritis, cardiovascular risk, and long-term outcomes.
My perspective
SLE is one of the themes I entered early and never truly left. Its value, to me, is that it is a disease in which integrative medicine can be tested against genuinely meaningful long-term clinical questions. It is not about one symptom. It is about organs, time, complications, and the natural history of disease.
What I care about most in this area
I do not focus only on acute flare
I care about kidney damage, complications, and long-term prognosis.
Can integrative care change the natural history?
This is the central question I keep returning to in lupus research.
Cases, databases, and clinical reports all matter
SLE requires layered evidence rather than one study design alone.
Lupus research has shaped my broader autoimmune framework
It helped me develop a general way of thinking about complex immune diseases.
